The answer key for 2025 was released on March 4, 2025. The release of the answer key has brought the aspirants one step closer to their dream of joining India’s security forces.

SSC GD 2025 Result is based on the Normalized Scores.

SSC Normalization Method – Why is it used?

The SSC spokesperson said, “ The Normalization method helps maintain transparency. This method is important for the exams conducted across multiple shifts”.

What is Normalization Method? Procedure and Techniques

  • Converting raw scores into percentile scores:

o    For each shift, the raw scores of all candidates are converted into percentile scores.

o    The percentiles are calculated independently for each shift, capturing the relative performance of the candidate in their specific session.

  • Mapping Percentiles to Marks Scale:

o     All the percentile data from the various shifts are merged into a single dataset.

o    The combined data is sorted in descending order or ascending order of the percentiles.

o    The gaps in the raw score table are filled by interpolation. This allows the percentile values to be mapped back onto the marks scale                      consistently.

  • SSC Normalization Scores Generation

    • Each percentile corresponds to a specific raw score of each session.

    • The mapping is used to derive the normalized score for each candidate across all the shifts.

    • The final output is standardized, a comparable score for every candidate, irrespective of the shift at which they appeared

The entire procedure is independently applied to every subject, test or area the candidate opts for. Every candidate will receive normalized score for each section attempted, ensuring consistency and compatibility.

This normalization framework adopted by the SSC ensures transparency and uniformity in competitive exams.
