The Staff Selection Commission has postponed the SSC Exam 2025. The repeated delays in the SSC exam dates have become a growing concern for millions of aspirants nationwide.

The Staff Selection Commission has postponed the SSC CHSL 2025 Exam. Originally, the Tier I exam scheduled for September 8 to September 18 seems to have been postponed as the commission has not released the admit cards, confirming the speculation about possible postponement”, says an aspiring SSC candidate.

He further added, “SSC began conducting the SSC CGL Tier I Exam 2025 from September 12. This exam was originally scheduled between August 13 and 30 but was postponed due to technical and operational issues”.

The aspirants are now assuming that the SSC CHSL exam is likely to be conducted after the conclusion of the SSC CGL Tier I exam.

 The SSC Exams are one of the most sought-after by many youths aspiring to enter the central government services. However, over the past few years, unexpected postponements, frequent notifications of rescheduling and irregular scheduling have left the students in a state of confusion.

“Students who are coming from small towns and economically weaker backgrounds depend solely on these exams for their future. With frequent shifting, their preparation cycle and mental well-being are affected”, says the SSC coaching professor.

Mental Impact Caused by SSC Exam Postponements

Many SSC exam instructors and experts have reported a spike in cases of exam-related stress issues among the SSC aspirants. Many SSC candidates are experiencing -

  • Anxiety and depression as they are unaware of the final exam days and have to continue their preparation till their exam.

  • Many are facing emotional burnout due to continuous study schedules stretched over uncertain timelines

  • With a growing fear of wasted years and missed career opportunities, many candidates’ motivation is reduced.

“The biggest challenge is not the exam for many aspirants but the unpredictability around it”, says an expert psychologist.

The SSC exam postponement issue is not limited to individual students, but it has now become a nationwide concern. 

Parents, coaching institutes and mental health professionals are urging the authorities to take concrete steps to bring stability in the SSC exam process. 

As India is facing the pressing issue of unemployment, this uncertainty in the recruitment exams further deepens the crisis.
