Postponement of SSC CGL 2025 Exam

The Combined Graduate Level (CGL) Tier I examination, which was initially scheduled to begin on 13th August, has been postponed following the directions of the Supreme Court.

The announcement was made by the SSC on 8th August. The new timetable for CGL and other upcoming exams will be posted on the official website of the commission shortly. The exam will now start in the first week of September 2025. “The exam is postponed to reform the computer-based testing process”, said the SSC spokesperson to a news channel.

The spokesperson further added, “We have taken this decision amid the ongoing technical difficulties experienced during recent SSC examinations, including server crashes and system malfunctions that have compromised the Computer Based Test infrastructure”.

SSC CGL 2025 exam was postponed – Main Reasons

Severe Technical Glitches faced by the candidates in SSC examinations under the CBT (Computer Based Test) vendor.
Critical issues were faced by the candidates, including persistent server crashes, login failures, and questions not loading properly in the examination systems.

These issues were particularly found during the SSC Selection Post Phase 13 exam, where the candidates faced poor internet connectivity, biometric failures, and students marked absent due to a malfunction in the system.

New Dates and Schedule of SSC CGL 2025

In the official notice released by SSC, the SSC CGL 2025 Tier I exam is rescheduled for the first week of September 2025. The Commission will release the city intimation slips 7-8 days before the new examination date, and the SSC CGL Admit Card 2025 will be released 2-3 days before the exam.
