The Staff Selection Commission has released the tentative vacancies list for the Combined Hindi Translators (CHT) Exam 2025 on its official website, ssc.gov.in.
“We are filling a total of 437 posts through this drive”, said the SSC spokesperson. He further added, “The Computer–Based test (Paper I) is scheduled for 12th August. Candidates are required to check the detailed list and exam updates on the official SSC website”.
According to the SSC’s recent official update, a total of 437 positions for Hindi Translators will be filled through this recruitment drive across various ministries, departments, and government organisations.
The SSC CHT Recruitment process aims to identify candidates proficient in Hindi and English translation, terminology usage, and official communication drafting.
These skills are important in maintaining clarity in multilingual administrative work.
Computer-Based Test (Paper I) is scheduled to be conducted on August 12, 2025. The exam is held in two stages -
Paper I - Multiple Choice Questions (Objective Type)
Paper II - Descriptive Paper
Paper I will cover topics including General Hindi, General English, Grammar, Vocabulary and Comprehension.
Paper II will test translation and essay-writing skills in both Hindi and English.

The online application process was from 5th June to 26th June 2025. The correction window was available from 1st July to 2nd July 2025.
Candidates must ensure that all the personal and educational details are accurate. No further corrections will be allowed post 2nd July 2025, after the correction window closes.
